South Lavant (Robertson Lake)
Robertson Lake Hall is a one-story facility of simplistic design built by a group of passionate, community-minded volunteers in the early 2000s. The hall serves as the main venue for social gatherings for folks living in the hamlet of Lavant and surrounding areas collectively referred to as South Lavant. With its wraparound porch, baseball diamond, pickleball court and prime location beside a sandy beach on beautiful, spring-fed Robertson Lake, it is especially popular in the summer.

Nestled in one of the more isolated and least populated areas of the township, the hall has an increased importance to serve as a year-round venue for bringing people together. Recently it has been the site for numerous community barbecues as part of pickleball tournaments, ATV rides and even a solar eclipse viewing party. Yoga on the Beach is a popular summer activity. It is an exceptional location for family reunions, small weddings and parties of all sorts.

Laurel Crosbie-Michaud is happy to be the new Social Activity Convener. As one of the locations for the Lanark Highlands-HNN Seniors Active Living Centre, Laurel is excited that the cost to participate in the activities can be supported for seniors who need it. She looks forward to putting her best efforts forward to ensure that residents of South Lavant stay well-connected socially.

Laurel is looking for volunteers to host regular activities and special events throughout the year. If you have some extra time, are considering volunteering or have a passion you'd like to share, please contact her at the email below.
